Confirm the essential services
Check your DEWA electricity and water activation. For a tenancy registered through Ejari, DEWA describes an integrated move-in process; owners and some other cases may need to apply through DEWA’s digital channels. Do not assume the lights will be on merely because you have the keys.
Ask whether cooling needs a separate account or activation. Keep the account numbers and confirmations together where you can find them on moving day.
Book the building, not just the movers
Ask building management about move-in permission, delivery hours, loading access and service-lift reservations. Share the rules with your moving company in advance.
A five-minute check can prevent a truck arriving at a building where no service lift is available.
